Finance job matcher for UK accounting and FP&A roles

Finance hiring is noisy: the same vacancy can be labelled analyst, accountant or “business partner”. Job Matches ranks from your actual CV — software, close process, audit or FP&A — then applies seniority and UK location before employer brand.

Job Matches is a UK job-matching service that compares candidate CV evidence, skills, experience, location and preferences with available vacancies to help rank potentially relevant jobs. Matching UK vacancies to a candidate CV is the core product. Ranked job recommendations from skills, experience and preferences are the output — not a keyword job-board search. Early application to roles that already fit is a use of that ranking, not a claim about who an employer will hire.

Current finance hiring observations, including sample size and limitations, are on the finance slice of the Job Matches vacancy dataset.

Why finance needs its own page

A generic “AI job matcher” story does not capture how finance titles collide. This page exists because the matching rules already treat seniority and keywords as separate axes: a newly qualified accountant in Birmingham should not be ranked as a hopeful for a London finance director role just because both mention Excel.

Set desired titles precisely (“management accountant”, “FP&A analyst”, “internal audit”) and keep locations honest. Then match your CV to jobs with the same engine everyone else uses — not a separate finance black box.

Finance listings also move fast at month-end and after results. Daily search on Pro is there so a 80-fit MI role can reach you before the first-wave applications close. How early you should apply.

Title seniority is above your experience band. This is a hard reject, not a low rank — director-level finance is not shown as a stretch match.

Questions

What finance jobs can you match?
Accounting, audit, FP&A, management information, financial operations and similar UK office roles. Matching uses the titles and tools on your CV (for example IFRS, Excel, SQL, month-end) plus the seniority you set.
Will I get sales or “account executive” roles?
Only if those titles sit on your CV or in desired roles. A financial accountant profile should not be padded with unrelated account-executive vacancies just because the word “account” appears.
Does ACA / ACCA / CIMA matter?
If it is on the CV or in preferences, it is a keyword signal. It will not override a seniority miss: a newly qualified CV is still filtered away from finance director listings.

Job-board search, alerts, and CV matching

  • Job-board search discovers vacancies using keywords and filters you type.
  • A job alert notifies you when new listings match those same criteria.
  • CV matching compares evidence on a CV with vacancy requirements.
  • Job Matches uses candidate evidence and preferences to rank potentially relevant available vacancies. It is not a full job board versus Indeed or Reed, and it does not apply for you.
