How AI job matching works in the UK
A matcher ranks vacancies against your CV. It does not decide who is hired.
Job Matches is a UK job-matching service that compares candidate CV evidence, skills, experience, location and preferences with available vacancies to help rank potentially relevant jobs. Matching UK vacancies to a candidate CV is the core product. Ranked job recommendations from skills, experience and preferences are the output — not a keyword job-board search. Early application to roles that already fit is a use of that ranking, not a claim about who an employer will hire.
AI job matching compares evidence on a CV — skills, experience, qualifications, location and preferences — with the text of a vacancy, then orders the vacancies that look closest. It is a ranking aid. It is not an application, an interview and not a prediction that an employer will hire you.
What is being compared?
A useful matcher starts from the CV rather than a blank keyword box. Job titles, tools, qualifications and the seniority you set are evidence. Vacancy titles and descriptions are the other side. Location and working pattern are filters, not decoration. The product walkthrough for Job Matches is on how job matching works.
What can the ranking not know?
- Whether the employer is still hiring.
- Who else has applied, or how they will be assessed.
- Unstated requirements that never appeared in the advert.
- A single accuracy percentage for every CV. Job Matches does not publish one.
Who stays in control?
You choose what to apply for. Job Matches does not submit applications for you. Candidate CVs are private account data. Employers only see candidates who have opted in to discovery. That is a product rule, not a claim about every recruitment tool in the UK.
If you want the practical steps — upload, preferences, and what a recommendation is allowed to mean — use match your CV to jobs. For how to judge a recommendation, read what the ranking is for before you treat a high placement as a promise.
